Robert Street Bridge Construction Update Week #4

Good progress was made this week on the Robert Street Bridge in spite of the hot weather, said Alex Bromley, P.E. Westbrook Associated Engineers.

The bridge parapet removal is complete and the deck is currently being removed. Deck removal is in the north span currently and progressing to the south.

Boat traffic should be alert while passing under the bridge and steer clear of the barge and equipment.

Work on the north abutment is moving forward and rebar will be placed next week.

In two weeks the first concrete pour is scheduled.

Roadway traffic patterns will remain as currently set for multiple weeks.
