vote 3 waysWelcome to the Clerk/Treasurer's office. We are located in the Municipal Building downtown Fort Atkinson. Our office handles a variety of tasks and welcomes all visitors.

The Clerk/Treasurer's office is responsible for various duties set forth in State Statutes 62.09 (9) and (11) including but not limited to conducting Elections, accurate recording of meeting minutes, serving as the official custodian of all City records, public documents, and the City seal. Most licenses are administered in the Clerk/Treasurer's office including animal, alcohol, operator, direct seller, and mobile merchant. Treasurer duties include finance/accounting activities, maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements, payroll and accounts payable, preparation of the tax roll, coordinating the operation and maintenance of the City’s computer hardware and software, and the City’s property, liability, and worker's compensation insurance.


The City of Fort Atkinson has a RESERVE “Class B” Intoxicating Liquor License available and is taking applications until Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 5 p.m. Required applications include an Original Alcohol Beverage License Application, Auxiliary Questionnaire, Schedule for Appointment of Agent, Reserve License Questionnaire and documentation confirming Federal Identification Number and Wisconsin Seller’s Permit Number.  Additional information is available through the City Clerk/Treasurer/Finance Director, Michelle Ebbert,, 920-397-9901.
