Robert Street Bridge Construction Update Week #2

LOGO 2019

This week equipment was mobilized for the demolition operation of the Robert Street Bridge. Cranes are now on the bridge and barges have been installed in the Rock River. Railings are being removed and the existing bridge deck is being sawed in preparation for removal operations.

Boat traffic should be alert while passing under the bridge and steer clear of the barge and equipment. Buoys warning of the bridge work are in the river upstream and downstream of the work zone.

Work operations next week will be primarily at the north span of the bridge, leaving the center span open to boating.

Roadway traffic patterns will remain as currently set for multiple weeks.
