RE: Fort Atkinson City Council to accept applications to fill open council seat
The Fort Atkinson City Council is now accepting applications from qualified residents to fill a one-year term on the Fort Atkinson City Council. The term would be from the time of Council appointment through April 16, 2024. On Tuesday, the Council voted to fill the vacancy by appointment for a one year term and put a one-year term on the ballot for the April 2, 2024 election.
The vacancy was created after Megan Hartwick stepped down April 18, after being elected to the Fort Atkinson City Council for the 2023-2025 term.

Applications are due by 4 p.m. on Friday May 5, 2023 to the City Manager’s office, sweihert@fortatkinsonwi.gov or 101 N. Main St., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538.
