Robert Street Bridge Construction Update Week #9

This week the concrete deck for the Robert Street Bridge was poured and is now curing. The wet cure on the deck will continue into next week.

Boaters will notice water dripping from the edges and those that want to avoid those drips should utilize the north span. The high side of the bridge is the north end and less water pours off in that area.

Next week roadway work will be in full swing.  Motorists should be aware of dump trucks hauling old pavement out and new materials into the project site. Work will also continue on the bridge with forming parapet walls and the sidewalk.

There are some new shoulder and parking lane closures in place around the Robert Street and Van Buren/Riverside area to allow for the construction of new sidewalk ramps.

All other traffic control remains the same.
