Nomination Guidelines
Nominations can be made for any of the three categories: Business, Community Organization and Individual Resident. An annual award would be given in each of the three categories.The accomplishments must take place within the City of Fort Atkinson. Self-nominations are allowed. Applicants would complete an application outlining their efforts/program.
The judges determine winners based on the content and quality of the completed nomination form. The judges' decisions are final, and they reserve the right to withhold an award in any category if there is not a suitable winning entry. The award panel is comprised of City Staff, City Council, business community representative(s) and citizen(s). If there are no applications received for a category, an award would not be given for that year.
The award winners will be announced at the second Council meeting in February, that being held the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Winners and their nominees will be invited to attend.
The nomination window will be the month of January for the preceding year. Nominations should be submitted to the City Manager, 101 N. Main Street Fort Atkinson WI 53538 by January 31st.
