City of Fort Atkinson completes United Way workplace campaign

FORT ATKINSON – The City of Fort Atkinson completed its 2022 workplace campaign recently in support of the United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth Counties. The City conducted a supply drive for BASE as a part of the campaign.

“The United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth Counties seeks to build inclusive communities through their mission, vision and core values. The City Council and the City’s management team support these efforts, as well as the local programs and services supported by the United Way,” said Rebecca Houseman LeMire, City Manager.

City employees collected pencils, glue sticks, paper towels, wipes and white computer paper for BASE and presented the items to them last week.

“The support we receive from the 30 or so local businesses that host campaigns for us accounts for approximately 75% of the total funds we raise annually,” said Elizabeth Ellis-Bols, United Way executive director. “We recognize the effort, time, and energy that these local businesses put forth for us and our communities, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to the entire team at the City of Fort Atkinson for believing in United Way’s mission and for trusting us with your generosity.”
